The core components discussed in this year’s event, were the opportunities created in the real estate market, the developments in Southeast Europe, the prospects in the hospitality field and the perception of the Greek economy.
The vice-president and CEO of DIMAND, Dimitris Andriopoulos, moderated the panel on “Entrepreneurship, development and listed buildings “, with key speakers the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Zervas, the Secretary of Spatial Planning and Urban Environment from the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Mr. Efthimios Bakogiannis, the Secretary General of Culture, Mr. George Didaskalou, and the Entrepreneur and Honorary President of SETE, Mr. Stavros Andreadis.
Mr. Andriopoulos underlined, once again, the necessity of collaboration between the private and public sectors and mentioned: “Thessaloniki has great potential. It features the multicultural aspect and a unique connection of the urban area to the sea. The responsibility of entrepreneurs, beyond the utilization of any property, is to be interested in the wider area where it is located. This is something we practice at DIMAND. In addition to the renovations we are proceeding with, we are submitting proposals for the utilization of the wider area.”
