DIMAND, marking 20 years of successful growth, participated this year as the Anniversary Partner at the 26th PRODEXPO, which took place on October 21–22 at the Athens Conservatory.

On the occasion of its 20 years of successful operation, DIMAND participated this year as an Anniversary Partner at the 26th PRODEXPO. The company was represented by CEO Mr. Dimitris Andriopoulos, Deputy CEO Mr. Nikos Dimtsas, and Chief Operating Officer Ms. Olga Itsiou, who actively participated as moderators and speakers in various thematic sessions of the conference.

For 26 years, Prodexpo has been the leading annual Real Estate event in Greece, bringing together professionals in property development and Real Estate leaders to network, gain valuable insights, and shape their future investment strategies.

The momentum of this year’s Prodexpo began at the Executive Leaders’ Breakfast, which preceded the official opening of the conference. Senior figures from across the Real Estate and construction sectors captured the pulse of the market and analyzed the key trends shaping the built environment, highlighting both opportunities and emerging challenges.

Among the speakers, Mr. Nikos Dimtsas, Deputy CEO of the DIMAND Group, emphasized that the company’s approach to Real Estate development has always been guided by the principles of sustainability, inclusivity, and innovative urban design. Reflecting on the first sustainable building delivered by DIMAND in 2012, he noted:

“At that time, it was a risk — we didn’t know how the market would react. But we were proven right. Today, it is self-evident that green, sustainable buildings deliver positive results and long-term value.”

At the opening of this year’s event, Mr. Andriopoulos delivered a welcome address, highlighting the celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary and wishing every success for the proceedings of the conference.

In the panel titled “The Regenerative City: Breathing, Becoming, Enduring,”, Mr. Nikos Dimtsas highlighted the issue of affordable housing and property tax relief, describing it as a “complex challenge” with global dimensions. He emphasized that this issue requires coordinated collaboration between the state and Real Estate stakeholders, identifying tax reform as a fundamental element in the path toward a solution. As he noted, reducing the VAT rate on newly built properties and alleviating the overall tax burden could serve as strong incentives to boost supply and help balance the market.

In the discussion “Reforming the Greek City,” hosted by Mr. Dimitris Andriopoulos and Ms. Olga Itsiou, architects from abroad shared experiences and proposals for improving Athens’ urban environment. Topics such as traffic congestion, the lack of sidewalks, the need for public-private collaboration and a shift in mindset formed the core of the dialogue.

The conference’s first day wrapped up with a festive party, celebrating DIMAND’s 20th anniversary, complete with finger food and live music, creating a lively atmosphere of celebration and creative engagement.

On the second and final day, Mr. Andriopoulos and Ms. Itsiou moderated the panel “Urban Disorder in Greece: A Path to City Renewal,” where distinguished Greek architects exchanged views on how Greek cities can evolve and the role architecture plays in sustainable urban development.

With a focus on the future, DIMAND remains committed to investing in sustainable urban regeneration and innovation, staying true to its vision: creating the cities we want to live in.
