On Friday, May 24th, at the 11th Delphi Economic Forum, Mr. Andriopoulos took part in a discussion with Mr. Theofanis Tasis, Professor of Philosophy of Information and Digital Humanism at the Ionian University, titled “Towards the Human-Centric City – How Cities Influence Our Personality.”
The speakers approached the issue of the aesthetics of buildings and cities through an open and philosophical perspective.
Mr. Andriopoulos raised concerns drawing on examples from contemporary cities abroad, as well as from his personal experiences related to everyday life and public space. He placed particular emphasis on the need to repurpose old buildings so that they can be reintegrated into the urban fabric.
From his side, Mr. Tasis stated that beauty can also be seen as a dimension of social justice, emphasizing that improving the aesthetics of cities benefits all citizens.
