DIMAND presented its approach to sustainable technical solutions, highlighting the early adoption of SF₆-free technologies at the Piraeus Tower as an example of innovation and environmental responsibility.

Schneider Electric organized the “Innovation Day | Breathe Easy with AirSeT”, showcasing AirSeT technology, which replaces SF₆ gas with pure air, reducing the environmental footprint of electrical installations.

As part of the event, Angelos Entmons, Senior Sustainability Manager at DIMAND, participated as a speaker, presenting the company’s approach and emphasizing that meaningful progress comes from the early adoption of more sustainable technical solutions.

As a notable example, he highlighted DIMAND’s decision to install SF₆-free Medium Voltage switchgear at Piraeus Tower as early as 2022, choosing a solution that reduced the project’s environmental footprint and anticipated future regulatory requirements for the gradual phase-out of SF₆, which came into effect from 2026.

SF₆ is one of the most potent greenhouse gases used in industry, with a global warming potential approximately 24,300 times greater than CO₂. This makes avoiding its use a meaningful and environmentally responsible solution.

DIMAND provided a tangible example of how innovative technologies can be implemented in large-scale projects, demonstrating that the early adoption of sustainable solutions creates long-term value and prepares businesses for future regulatory developments. Angelos Entmons’ participation highlighted the importance of integrating sustainability into technical decisions from the design stage, reflecting DIMAND’s philosophy of staying ahead of developments rather than simply following them. Through strategic choices and technical solutions that reduce environmental impact, enhance sustainability and create lasting value, the company aims to shape the standards of tomorrow and actively contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable environment.
