In response to the recent heatwave, the company supported an emergency street outreach initiative carried out in Piraeus by the Hellenic Red Cross Homeless Programs Service.

As part of the initiative, DIMAND donated personal hygiene and cleaning supplies, which were distributed by the Hellenic Red Cross mobile outreach teams to people experiencing homelessness who are especially vulnerable to extreme temperatures. They were also provided with bottled water, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, backpacks, and hats, as well as information on essential measures for staying safe during a heatwave.

The intervention took place in areas of Piraeus where a consistently high presence of homeless people has been recorded through the Hellenic Red Cross’s systematic fieldwork. The teams, comprising specialized professionals and trained volunteers, reached out to people in need, offering both material assistance and social support.

Through this partnership, DIMAND actively supports initiatives that help protect the most vulnerable groups in society, demonstrating that corporate social responsibility has a meaningful impact when combined with the experience and work of organizations such as the Hellenic Red Cross.
