DIMAND and Piraeus Tower welcome the world’s first floating museum to Greece, actively participating in the Art Explora Festival, which travels across the Mediterranean sea to bring art closer to everyone. From October 3rd to 12th, Gate E8 of the Port of Piraeus will be transformed into a vibrant cultural space filled with art, music, dance, exhibitions, immersive workshops, and virtual reality experiences—ten days of free access and creative participation for all audiences.
Piraeus Tower is joining this celebration of art and culture by being illuminated every evening with the colors of the Art Explora Festival, becoming a symbol of a city in transformation, one that is being reborn and embraces creativity. At the same time, the lobby of the building will host, for the first time, a contemporary art installation by Theoklitos Triantafyllidis, inviting visitors and tenants to experience art in a space that blends architecture with modern aesthetics.
The Art Explora Festival, which has already traveled to iconic cities such as Marseille, Venice, Tangier, and Malaga, attracting nearly 300,000 visitors, is making Piraeus the tenth stop in its major cultural journey. This stop, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Region of Attica, with the support of the Municipality of Piraeus, New Metropolitan Attica S.A., the DIMAND Group, and Piraeus Tower S.A., marks an important moment for Greece’s cultural outreach.
During the festival’s opening, among the distinguished speakers, Frédéric Jousset, founder and president of the Art Explora Foundation, expressed his excitement about the festival’s arrival in Piraeus. In closing, Dimitris Andriopoulos stated: “The Art Explora Festival is a vision, an idea that inspires emotion. This event puts Piraeus and Athens on the global art map. Through this festival, art truly becomes accessible to all.”
The evening’s program included spectacular performances, offering the audience not only the opportunity to watch but also to actively participate in the transformation of the port into a harmonious, finely tuned orchestra.
