The most demanding high-rise climbing challenge in Greece returned on Wednesday, July 2nd, at the iconic Piraeus Tower.

The “PIRAEUS TOWER RUN TO THE TOP” challenged participants to test their endurance by climbing nearly 500 steps to the top of the country’s first green high-rise building.

This unique athletic experience brought together nearly 100 people of all ages and was organized with the support of PIRAEUS TOWER S.A. and marathon champion Nikos Polias.

Throughout the evening, the Piraeus Tower remained illuminated, displaying the message “PIRAEUS TOWER RUN TO THE TOP” on its façade, along with the winner’s name, honoring the event and highlighting the symbolism of effort and resilience required to reach the top.

The fastest time was recorded by long-distance runner Dimitris Theodorakakos, who completed the climb in just 2 minutes and 52 seconds.

A particularly moving moment was the participation of visually impaired marathon runner Nikos Tsatsaklas, who, for the second consecutive year, climbed and descended the Tower’s stairs accompanied by Georgia Lampropoulou, sending a powerful message of inclusion.
