We are happy to announce we have been declared preferred bidders for the acquisition of the landmark property “Minion”. The former 16.000sq.m. department store located in the heart of the city, near Omonia Square holds a special place in the hearts of almost all Athenians, as it has been on the city’s most popular, most visited venues especially during Christmas holidays.

The acquisition of “Minion” is part of our long-term strategy to redevelop landmark buildings, contributing to the contemporary history of the city and upgrading neighborhoods, always with respect to the environment and their particular characteristics.

Mr. Dimitris Andriopoulos, President and CEO of DIMAND, stated: “We stay focused on our vision to develop landmarks, by proceeding with the acquisition of this legendary building that was once the favorite destination for most Athenians as well as for people from all over Greece. Respecting its history, we will proceed with a large investment that will initiate the revival of a burdened area and will contribute to the restoration of Omonia’s lost glory. We will develop an innovative, bio-climatic building with both leisure and commercial uses, that meet our sustainable development goals together with respect to the needs of the local society”.
